The name on this plant when we were given it was, 'Elizabeth Hobby.' It is identical to 'Lottie Hobby Variegated.' We don't know the history behind the plant, however it is possible that Ms. Hobby's Christian name was Elizabeth and what her friends called her was Lottie. She is a small leaved, upright fuchsia with tiny pink flowers, having leaves of green and white. In a window that receives morning light she would be happy in a small pot on the window sill. In summer this can be moved outdoors. And would also be a nice addition to a mixed container of flowering plants. Cold hardy to USDA Zones 9 and 10, and possibly Zone 8 with protection. |
